Do you have to be a member to purchase tickets online?

Anyone can purchase tickets on the AGO ticketing site. AGO members will have access to special offers, special discounts and special products - AGO members should always log first to see those items.

I am a member - how do I log into my default membership account?

Since AGO members get free tickets for ticketed exhibitions and discounts for other products, they all have specific default accounts set up for them. The login for all default members accounts is always the AGO membership number. The default password for all accounts is always last name plus AGO membership number. If you added a membership after creating your own account or your account already existed, the password may not be the one listed above. If you do not know your password, please click on the Forgot Password link and your password will be sent to your e-mail address on file.

I am a member of the AGO, but I don't see any membership prices, why not?

Members cannot create a new account and see their applicible pricing. Members must log in to see special offers or pricing. Discounts for members will appear in the list of prices for any event that there is a members discount.

Do I need to register for the site to buy tickets?

You can register, but you do not need to register. You can input address information (required by Payment Card Industry compliance regulations for online sales) on the payment page. At order completion, an account is automatically created, allowing login for future purchases. Members must log into their member accounts to access member pricing, discounts and free tickets.

I've tried to complete an order/register but the system is telling me my e-mail is already in use. I don't remember registering or buying tickets before, what do I do?

We only allow online customers to register once with an active e-mail account. If you are an AGO member, you will have an existing default account. If you have purchased AGO tickets in the past, either online or in house, your account will exist on the system. If you do not remember your password, you should click on the Forgot Password link and your password will be sent to your e-mail address on file.

Why can't I see any discounts with my promo code?

Once you enter a promo code, discounts applicable to that code will appear in the list of prices on the left side of the screen. After entering a promo code you must click on the ENTER button on the screen rather than the enter button on your keyboard.

I've completed my order, but my printer is broken/don't have a printer…how do I get my tickets?

Our scanners will scan most smart phone screens. If you are unable to print your e-ticket for any reason and you have a smart phone, you can select the link and view from there. If you do not have a smart phone, you can present your order number at the information desk when you arrive at the AGO and staff can print a copy of your tickets.

Why does the AGO used timed ticketing for exhibitions?

Timed ticketing allows us to manage our lineups and to manage the number of patrons in the exhibition. If we did not have timed ticketing, people would have to wait in long lines to enter the exhibition space during busy periods. The timed aspect of the exhibition is only a timed entry - patrons may stay in the exhibition as long as they like - until closing time.

Why does the AGO charge a $2 per ticket service charge on this site?

A $2 convenience fee is added to each ticket purchased online to help us cover our costs to run the site including software fees and web host fees. The money also goes towards development costs to improve our site.
